Deleted Music

Posted by Gravey - March 10th, 2010

I was able to get hold of Tom Fulp and asked him to delete a lot of my older music. I made a news post a while back outlining the fact that I would be taking nearly everything down from this site. I left the news post up for well over a month in order for everyone to have a chance to see it. So please do not ask me for mp3s of the songs I had deleted.

I will not be finished with making music, nor will I stop posting music here on Newgrounds. But I will be limiting things that I post here for the most part because I am currently working on music for my label to sell on their site. When I get things in order I will let everyone know.

Thanks for your understanding and support everyone.

Also, I did some custom audio for a little flash project. You can see it here.

AWESOME i knew IT!!!! I so knew you had east west sense ive heared and know of their software their instrument quality can never been dismissed i knew when i heared your song it was EWQL and the amount you got its AWUSOME :C lol ^_^

*wishes i could have same setup* man if i had that my orchestras would be much better but for now im stuck with 2005 computer hardware and well erm lol...2GB of ram My setup is mainly nexus< used to, Hypersonic 2 ,Vanguard,Toxic 2,Toxic 3 ,Z3TA + (used to use edirol) (used to use soundfonts) (I use stormdrum 1) (Wish i had stormdrum 2 lol) EZDrummer, And GarritansJazz and big band for nice guitars and basses also realguitar 2, garritan personal orchestra, Also miroslav Philharmonik Orchestra I also use ozone 4 for my main mixing then T-racks 3 for the mastering. And i also use ALTIVERB 6 with about 1GB worth of IR verbs for my spatial stuff ^_^ and thats about it....
Well that and garritans personal cello but konkat has problems with me using it in fl studio due to my cpu im thinking never fully exports properly even though i may play a melody fine :C And i use this all not to right music but to Remux Music Reinvent well if youve heared my stuff you already know what i do hehhe...

[Thinks my above paragraph is very messy :S oh well.]

Well your gear isn't bad at all. T-racks is one hell of a mastering program, and from what I've been told Garritan and Miroslav are great programs as well. Also Edirol is a great backup program. I like to use it to add layers and at the same time save a little cpu space. ;-)

Squidfont wins again ;P.

I don't use it much anymore, but in my older songs it was a very important soundfont for me. I definitely got a lot of good out of it.

Hey, nice setup my friend! I'm jealous lol. All I've got is a simple 6-channel mixer, a firebox, and my beautiful guitar, and here you are bustin' out amplitube and the works! Curse you and your shenanigans! ;) I love the fact that we have the same taste in soundfonts, papelmedia, flobakks, and florestan all are my absolute favs, I love how rich they sound! Short of having a full choir or orchestra, they're the best.

Haha! Yea, it all depends on what sort of sound you are trying to get. If I was wanting to create a more lo-fi old school Nintendo video game sound I wouldn't use a whole lot of EastWest gear. I'd be using those soundfonts for sure. So its not so much always about having the "best" gear, but rather the right gear.

;-)

-Gravey-

P.S. And yes, I've even heard about EastWest, although I haven't used it much because I'm more into the contemporary music scene, although I love to add a classical edge to my stuff. No wonder your stuff sounds so well mastered all the time!

It's amazing stuff to say the least.

-Gravey-

is your next song going to be awwwwwwwsomez.
i bet it will.
P.S it must be hard to pay for all that music gear

Yea, it wasn't cheap. But well worth it without a doubt.

-Gravey-

HOLY FUCK DUDE! You have a shitload of gear! Props to that.

:-P Thanks!

oh just to warn you be aware of TheSpammer.he spammed me.So beware.

I blocked him a long time ago. So nothing to worry about. ;-)

Wow :O. My computer's not that bad. 3.25 GB and a single core of 3.07 Ghz. Too bad the OS is horribly out of date (it can't get updated since when we bought the computer [7 years ago] they ripped us off and gave us a copy of XP, i.e. not a validated OS) and the sound card (topped by Ye Olde Speakers) is worthless. I have East/West Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition, but recently my iLok key broke (even though I take great care of it and always put it in its bag when I'm done from it + I never dropped it) so I can't use it either.

My keyboard also decides to shut itself down occasionally, my webcam doesn't work, my scanner's lid is broken, my printer prints diagonally and my tower has a very limited amount of USB ports.

Oh well, it's enough to get by, and I should appreciate that I have a decent RAM and an OK CPU ^^.

Hey, what would you recommend, Symphonic Choirs or Voices of Passion, and what's the difference between them?

Symphonic Choirs is full choir ensembles and parts of choir ensembles such as altos, tenors, sopranos, and bass groups. You also get a nice boys choir sound that has a wonderful sound to it.

Voices of Passion is a sample library that is comprised of unique soloists from America, Bulgaria, India, Syria, and Wales. I used the Welsh soloist in my Voices of Passion library for my Orchestral Theme 1 piece.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask bud. ;-)

love youre music

im sad so i will make an word picture thingy...
XD

Thanks. And I'm sorry you are sad.

-Gravey-

how much did the whole EastWest cost you?

i have been dying to get it, but not sure if its worth the sum of money they ask.

what du think?

Their sample libraries are definitely worth what they charge. What it cost me though is a bit different than what it costs now because they had some holiday sales going on, such as a buy one get one free deal.

Go to their website to see current prices on their stuff. I would hold off on buying their new Hollywood Strings library though. It will go down in price in the near future, and Symphonic Orchestra Gold has plenty of string samples to keep you busy exploring for quite a while.

-Gravey-

I think I need new pants after reading the specs of your computer... Yep.. Definitely need new pants... I'm jealous as fuck man... You know how much RAM I have? NOT EVEN 3GB! It's sad. Oh and it's DDR1.. (1GB = $75)

Yea, I used a student loan check that I was owed to pay for my pc. So technically, it isn't paid for yet. :-P

-Gravey-

lucky bastard. lol

How am I lucky?

-Gravey-

Dude your music is awesome!! I listen to your songs on my mp3 everyday!

Thank you very much. I'm glad you find my music enjoyable. :-)

-Gravey-

oh you're gravey. Nice to meet you.

I have the same i7 920, with a HD5850.

You've got a beautiful piano there. Is it a Kawai? a Steinway? a Yamaha? a Bosendorfer Imperial? lol?

I've got a piano too, a very great Kawai.

You know, all the list of stuff you own is nothing compared to a piano.

Haha, 'Vanguard'. What is it? a new VSTi?

Edirol Orchestra is my only VST for classical music. I don't have enough of money to buy Vienna Symphonic Library, Cube Edition.

Well. Your banner looks cool.

My pianos are based out of the EastWest piano sample library. I used to have a Yamaha baby grand at my disposal in high school, and I miss it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "all the list of stuff you own is nothing compared to a piano." Granted even EastWest's piano sample libraries are not perfect, but only a highly trained ear would be able to tell the difference between them and a real piano. Personally I've never been a fan of Kawai. I played on a couple while I was a student at Ohio U, their action was weak and the sound just wasn't there for me.

As for Vanguard, its just a synthesizer is all. Not new as far as I'm aware, at least not when compared to how fast technology is progressing nowadays.

Glad you like my banner.
