Well...

...I'm not a real fan of trance. So this isn't exactly my style. But that being said, it is a decent song for what you were going for.

I like the piano a lot. It has a nice melody line throughout the entire song, and really forms a sort of glue to hold this song together.

The synths really fit well together in my opinion. And the effects do add some color throughout. So overall, for the style you are going for this is pretty well done. But it really isn't my sort of thing personally.

4/5 and 8/10 overall. Nice work here bud.

Awesome.

Not Bad...

It seems that some of the picking is slightly off. Like you get behind the beat ever so slightly in areas, but maybe I'm just hearing things.

I like the whole concept of the song. Pretty cool guitar sounds, but the flow just isn't quite there yet. It needs to mesh much better horizontally. There are definitely areas where it sounds like the sound gets clipped from one take into another.

I could be wrong, but it does sound like this. So you should check that out a bit.

I really like the section starting around the 2:00 mark. That has old school black metal written all over it. Almost old school Dimmu in a way, which is a compliment coming from me.

I liked this a lot, but didn't really love it. It just doesn't flow well.

4/5 and 8/10 overall.

Eternalreich responds:

true. its clipped like a mo fo, and i plan on loading another version with vox.

Interesting...

As with all trance music, the beats bore the fuck outta me. Lol! But it had a nice piano moment which I really liked. Nice job there. I'm not sure I'm too crazy about those vocals, more trance-ish style stuff I'm not crazy about.

The different synths you used were pretty straightforward and cool sounding. Nothing really all that original or ground breaking, but with this genre nothing ever really is. Overall, for the style you are going for it is great. Just not my thing is all.

4/5 and 8/10 overall. Nice job here bud.

DJ-Zoysa responds:

yeh thanks man and i can appreciate where you are coming from, and thank you for not being lik other jerks who just vote 0 cause they dont like hard trance. thanks for actually thinking about the genre and what it is i was aiming for instead of being a mindless anti-hardtrance person lol

I Like It...

...A LOT! This has an awesome groove all the way through it my friend! The entire ensemble really fits well together too, so the overall sound is kickass.

I really love that kick/bass thing you got going. They really fit well together, and the rest of the percussion is very nicely written. There isn't anything to exceptionally technical in this, but I really like it all the same.

5/5 and 10/10 overall. This has been favorited!

Love It!!!

Not much else to say. Trying to get caught up with everything on here.

But yea, I love it!

Not one of my better reviews, but then again, what is there left for me to say about your music?

5/5 and 10/10 overall.

Hmmm...

I'm typically not a fan of trance. But! I shall try to be as objective as possible.

This has a lot of cool sounds and synths in it. But it really lacks direction. It seems to be a lot of single minded sections that really do not build on top of one another. There needs to be something that holds all of these sections together. You have the bricks, just not the mortar at the moment.

Maybe adding some transition measures in between sections would create some stability. Right now it just seems like it is seperate sections smashed back to back.

The synths are good choices, and you writing is not shabby at all. You just have to take the next step in your writing. Make the sections fit more of an overall concept, rather than individual concepts within the song.

4/5 and 8/10 overall.

DJ-Zoysa responds:

thanks a lot that's the first review in a while that has given me sometihng to make my music better

this was kind of one of those tracks where you don't really try, you just make some sounds and make em fit - not much effort was put into this to be honest. but yeh ur right, and thanks for the review :D

maybe pelase check out my newest song - universal?
thx again

Cool...

I'm not a fan of trance for the most part. But I shall try to be objective in my review.

The rhythms in the percussion are pretty straightforward, and get the job done nicely. They have a nice quality to them as well. There really fit this style well.

I like the different synths you used. They fit pretty well together throughout the song. And you created some really cool sounding melody lines for them as well.

I think a more dominant bass line would catch my interest a little bit more. But good and complex bass lines are not typical for this style, so I won't hold it against you.

5/5 and 9/10 overall. Nice work here.

Sacrafan responds:

=D Thank you also for your "Pm Review" on Dancing in the Rain!!

LAWL!!!

Ok bud, this had me laughing my silly little ass off!

First off, perfect selection for such a project. The song is so effing stupid and overused, that the whole orchestra idea creates a real satirical view from my perspective. Almost a, "Too bad it didn't sound like this," sort of thing. X-D

I really like what you did with the instruments. But I think there could have been a lot more done with it.

Personally, I would love to hear some sampling from the original song. Such as the percussion and vocals. Now I know, sampling is supposedly not allowed in Newgrounds. But if you look at the top songs every week, 90% of them are midi rip-offs.

So me thinks you could get away with it if you edited them in some way. That way they can't technically say "You just took samples from the song and just inserted them into this remix." So, go find some sample of the vocals and percussion, and do some minor edits to them, and incorporate them into the song. That would be awesome.

I'm thinking the vocals would be awesome with a water effect and love philter on them. And them being automated of course so the effects mingle together on the vocals by fading in and out.

And this definitely needs some kicking bass. Not only a bass line, but a fat kick would be awesome as well. This is the perfect time to intertwine the orchestral sound with the techno sound. Because it is a song everyone knows, and for the most part loves. But it would be a new and interesting twist on it.

But as it is, I like this a lot anyways. :-)

4/5 and 8/10 overall. Me likes it bud!

Theledge93 responds:

What would i do without your prissy ideas, and your overly feminine mannerisms? (it's a joke. don't beat me with your mand-bag.)

I'll get those done, i was scared to go as far as i did with the project, thinking it might be copyright infringement. but i think i spread a whole light on to this, and i would like to take it a tad farther.

As you can tell, i did NOT fill this song out. i kinda slacked on it (as usual). i usually produce higher quality work. so...LEMME GET TO IT!

I, My Good Friend...

...will have learned this on the piano in the very near future. And once I get the chance, I will be recording myself playing it. ;-)

As for the song, its awesome. But I said this in my review of the DnB version. So nothing new here.

5/5 and 10/10 overall.

This has been favorited!

Why Sir...

...must you make me look so bad? It really is quite rude to continuously show somebody else up like this. I shall remember this for a long time to come!

;-)

Dude, this rocks my socks like nothing else! I love the entire feel of the song. It has that stamp of yours that I mentioned in a previous review for one of your songs, all over it.

The rich and vibrant mix of instruments is simply a treat for the ears. I really enjoyed the entire song in every form and way possible. The percussion is creative and original. The "midi" sounds you used are awesome. I'm pretty sure they are higher quality than midi, but you kept the same timbre in them as old school midis. And that is very important.

I love the melodies, the harmonies, the structure, everything in it's entirety. Wonderful job here my friend, as always.

Now stop showing off dick face! We know you are awesome already. SO ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

:-P

5/5 and 10/10 overall!

This has been favorited!
