That was great!

I just wanted to tell you that this is the funniest submission I have seen in a long time. The best part was at the end where his castle was on the left and then you heard Bowser laughing. I don't know why but that was extremely funny to me. I think his laugh was just to funny. And I loved the way you used the sprites. Some people use them because they are lazy, but when a flash is actually desent then the sprites are fine to use. Your sound effects were right on also. And the animation was flawless. I can't wait for tape 2 to come out. You are gonna make another right? You should. I think I'll add this to my favorites right now. Outstanding job and good luck in your future flash works.

Solid flash!

This is a good flash movie. Congratulations. But there is one thing that I think you should implement in your future movies. When the Purk calls in for help he just says "help me" and the radio operator replies with "ok." I think that this would be a lot better if you used radio type talk that they really use in the army. You know... like instead of just saying "help me" he should say something like "We need backup in the Southside of town on the backside of checkpoint 1." And when someone gets shot he should relay it to the headquarters. Like..... "Charlie 1 is down! I repeat Charlie 1 is down! Were under heavy fire, reinforcements will be necessary!" I think you get the idea. Thats the only thing that I thought could have been better in this short film. So good job and good luck in your future movies.

Well then,

There are some major issues with this movie. The biggest is how your animation doesn't go with the background at all. It would work if the animations were not supposed to be funny(Which they weren't) or if the backgrounds were not as serious. You have this dark intro background of a guy sitting and it looked really good. Then some ridiculous robot comes on the scene that doesn't fit at all. Then at the end you have a ridiculous moral to a very inconsistent flash. The music and the backgrounds go well together but your animations just ruined the whole thing. Sorry, I don't want to be a jerk but this wasn't very good. It would be nice if you redid this and changed the story and got rid of the bad animations. Then resubmit it and see how it does. It was good until the robot came in. The art reminds me of brokensaints stuff. I just want to say good luck with the rest of your flash works in the future.

the animation doesn't fit with the background because they're cell shaded bitmap traces of reality whereas everything else was purely telling the story the way i wanted to tell it {and no the animation was not meant to be funny; this was a very serious altercation in which one intedimentsional teddy bear lost it's ability to re-visit this realm} - t'is a madness that drives us and a passion that consumes ... plus actually writing with a story in mind might help too :D , in closing: it isn't hard to follow a theme, but it is hard to forge order from chaos -- thanks for your honesty, maybe next time my mic will work :p

That was hilarious! Great job here. You drawings were cool and the animation was awesome. I loved the "jittery" feeling it gave you because the way it moved. The snowman was very well done. You're right in the fact that...

a lot of people blow things way out of proportion. I agree, shit happens, and many times you can't do anything about it. But also just because us so called "kids" (I'm 18) do tend to blow things out of proportion we do have problems that are totally serious. Just because were younger than an adult doesn't mean we don't face adult problems. Friends getting killed or hurt badly, friends getting pregnant at 16, an emotional breakup with a loved one (boyfriend, girlfriend, mother, father, other family members, etc...), or just a totally rough day. Sometimes things really seem so bad that there is no solution. But I agree that people take things way to far when problems arise. Such as commiting suicide- IT'S NEVER A SMART IDEA! Although I have had several friends attempt (Thank God unsucessfully!) I don't mock them like you seem to be doing with the tone in your comments.They just need someone to remind them what they are here for and what purpose they serve. And how much someone cares about them.I liked this except that after reading your comment I was put off because it seems that you think that young adults are just idiots with simple lives. Well Good luck in your future movies! Sorry were so stupid.

Good start

You have a start to a movie.... now finish it. Your drawing of the mage was very good and everything flowed together nicely. Although there wasn't much in this you did an okay job. You should make an entire movie mocking 8-bit by having your own drawings beating the crap out of the 8-bits. It would be very comical and original. Just animate A LOT more than what you did here and make the story A LOT longer. Good idea here, you just need to finish it. Good luck in your future movies.

Vengful anvil of God! LOL!

I love your animating style. It's so cool and unique. And the jelly beans are funny no matter what they do or what happens to them. I like this ending 1,000 times better than the random frozen mammoth ending that was on your earlier cartoon. The anvil is just plain funny. Great job. I look forward to seeing many more of these.
