Nifty...
This fits really well for a horror themed game. Definitely a cool song to die to. ;-)
5/5 and 10/10 overall.

Thanks Gravey for being my review hero.
Haha!
This had me laughing the entire time I listened to it. I just could not really take it seriously. For some reason I saw Spongebob Squarepants characters gettin' down to this in my head while listening. I don't even watch that show, but I for some reason got that visual when I listened to this, and I couldn't stop laughing.
You hsould so find some Spongebob character's voice clips and inject them throughout this song. That would be so awesome.
As for the song itself, it's awfully simple. Which for this style is fine I guess. I personally don't get into this type of music, but you made me laugh today. Albeit unintentionally, I still was laughing. ;-)
Sooooooo....
5/5 and 9/10 overall. Nice job here bud.

Haha! No worries i actually just pictured the same thing and the "Bob/Patrick"Pair does seem rather amusing. As for the song, yeah short and simple. Im still working on developping my own house sound and such to im currently just messing here and there and seeing what i got. My next track should be more promising though. Thanks for the Review/Score. :D

Not Bad...
The mix is pretty decent, even though it is somewhat transparent. You should think about adding some other effects to fill out the song before the big moment at 1:52. I understand you are trying build to a crescendo there, but still the sound is pretty transparent. Even that section could use another instrument or two.
I love pianos, but I'm not really crazy about the piano in the beginning of this song. It sounds robotic to me. It needs some variation in the velocities to give it a real human touch. As it is right now, it just sounds like typical FL Studio quality, which is never a good thing.
The percussion is pretty decent. I really like the snare. It sounds pretty good, and really fits well with the rest of the ensemble. All the percussion does really, but for some reason I just felt the snare was a perfect choice for this song.
There isn't really anything "wrong" with the song. The rhythms in the percussion are good, and there aren't any real odd notes that hit me as out of place. But there is definitely room for improvement on this bad boy.
Keep in mind I really dislike trance and dance music. So sometimes I can be rather critical of these types of songs. But that being said, I tried to be pretty objective with this review. :-)
4/5 and 8/10 overall. Not bad bud, not bad at all.

I know your not a fan but you have musical expierence which is what im after... I could do better with the piano and add better dynamics to make it more life like... but most of my songs i leave it all the same because it is a trance or techno type song.. If i record a piano into a rock song or something.. then I will try to make everything more realistic.. included the hi hats and kicks on the drum set.. but for techno I dont really bother with it... I choose not to add to many instruments to the song cause honestly I hate that when there are so many things going on in a song you cant pick out what to listen to.. also it helps alot with clipping.. the more sounds in a song the louder it is.. period.. I could lower the volumes of all the instruments and add more but then it just sounds wierd cause theres no continued energy through out the whole piece..
I always look forward to your reviews... Unlike others it doesnt say Yeah I liked it.. you give goods and bads which is what im looking for
Very Nice...
This has a wonderful buildup with a great and long crescendo, and then it dies away very solemnly. This song had a very nice tone to it.
As far as the mix goes, you did a wonderful job. It is mixed wonderfully well, and all the instruments really fit well into their place in the ensemble. From the percussion to the piano, you did well to create a nice mix and a beautiful atmosphere.
As for the writing, this repeats quite a bit, but it isn't a bad thing. You did a great job at introducing new thoughts and ideas by adding new instruments to the mix. Often times they were playing something different, but other times is would be the slightest of variations to the already standing melodies and harmonies. Way to mix it up, yet keep it the same.
You have made great progress to say the least in your composition abilities. Congrats my friend!
5/5 and 10/10 overall.

thank you! i'm glad you liked it, and i put alot of hard work into it.
Totally Unexpected...
I was not expecting this out of you at all my friend! This is awesome!
I really like how this turned out. Has a great quality to it, and really has a great atmosphere. I'm really amazed at this to be honest. I've never heard anything like it from you.
Kudos for writing outside your normal genre!
5/5 and 10/10 overall. Great work here bud!
-Gravey-
Thanks man. :D I know, this really is out of genre for me.
Very Cool...
I really like what you created here. Definitely has a very chillaxin vibe, with a nice jazz/funk mix.
The instrumentation is wonderful, and everything sounds great. Especially the bass. Wow what a sound it has.
The only problem is the Rhodes clips around the 2:50 mark. You should check that, because that is the only little glitch I saw.
5/5 and 9/10 overall. Nice work here my friend!
-Gravey-
Thanks man! The bass is new to me! I bought the Reason Electric Bass refill, and it was worth it! Some great basses, like the Fender Jazz Bass or the Music Man Stingray. They are really dynamic!!
Indeed I heard the small glitch as well... bummer... I have that alot with the rhodes, it tends to overpower itself a little...
Glad you like it!

HEY!!!
I see my buddy Ledge down there left you a favorable review! One of my good buddies here on Newgrounds, so get to know his work like you know mine. :-)
As for this song, its pretty simple yet cool. I like the refreshing feel your music seems to have on me. It is so simple, and in a way transparent. Yet there is a real groove to what you are writing. You write great percussion lines my friend!
I think that this song definitely needs a little bit of harmony though. Unlike the other song of yours I heard, this definitely needs a little harmony. Maybe a simply pad or strings line, just something like that.
The kick that comes in around halfway through the song is simply too loud in the mix. Lower that bad boy a bit. I love a pulse pounding kick as much as the next guy, especially in this form of music. But it is far too loud.
Also, the ending is a bit abrupt. You should make the ending a bit more formal and tasteful. Rather than having it cutout like it does. Sometimes an abrupt stop to a song is good, and it might work for this song. But the abrupt ending here is not a smooth one. It almost sounds like you are cutting off the synths at the end, and not letting them have their final say.
This isn't bad, but not great either really.
4/5 and 8/10 overall. Nice solid song you have here my friend.
-Gravey-
Thanks for the review! I will take these tips into consideration!
Pretty Interesting...
I like the rhythm in the percussion section bud! It has a real groove to it, a real smooth and yet pulsing groove. :-)
Normally I would say I want to hear more of a melody line, and especially some harmony in there. But this seems pretty straightforward and awesome as it is. Just a nifty groovy industrial tune with a few effects and a wicked rhythm in the percussion.
That being said, as a cool percussion tune this is awesome!
5/5 and 9/10 overall. Great stuff bud!
-Gravey-
Thanks dude glad you like it!
AWESOME!!!
I really like this a lot. It has such an airy atmosphere, yet is dark and brooding. When the oboe comes in, it almost sounds warrior-esque. The atmosphere is perfect for a scene with the main warrior preparing himself for battle.
Maybe he is going through a ritualistic dance, something very fluid and graceful. Because that is what this piece is, not to mention so smooth. It is so rich in color, taste, and emotion, let alone simple sound. This has a very vibrant life given timbre as well, which just fits with the visual of the warrior before battle even more.
The actual note for note writing is wonderful. But for me to sit and discuss chords and and notes would simply be a disservice to this piece. So I am not even going to bother with that.
The percussion is perfect in every way shape and form, and I wanted to make sure I expressed that. It is expressive, dominant, and strong, yet not overbearing in the least. The percussion has a very rich timbre, and really fills in with the rest of the ensemble beautifully. It truly is perfectly written my friend, and a true joy to behold and listen to.
Flaws? I feel none in this song. My ears, my mind, and my body are all telling me that this has no flaws. It is what it is, and you were simply the one that was honored enough to allow this song to be birthed. Almost like it has always been with us, we just were not able to interact with it until it allowed you to make that possible for us.
Wonderful my good friend, simply wonderful.
5/5 and 10/10 overall. This has been favorited!
-Gravey-
Thanks, it's an installment of another piece, Blood Moon, that i wasn't able to put up x3
Blood Moon is very dark and brooding, kinda cultish. colors portrayed are obvious: black and red, Veridian moon has greens and whites.
the brooding tones in the beginning and end are "shifting passages" if you'd like. Thanks for another awesome review ^^
