I don't know why, but that last phrase really made me smile. I don't know Dave, or you for that matter. But I'm betting he is the ultimate douche!

But anyways, nifty loop, I gave you a 4/5. Out of 10 I give you a 7. Music doesn't have to be loud and in your face to be good. Sometimes going simple is the best way to go! Nice loop, or song I guess. It seems more of a loop to me anyways.

And the electronica Gods looked down and smiled...

This is...How do I say it without sounding condescending...Cute? Please don't hate me for that, but it is. It's like a rave song for a girls teddy bear sleep over party. Now don't take that the wrong way. I'm not hating at all, that's just the way it struck me. I can just hear my little sister listening to this with all her seven year old friends.

I like the guitar "riffs" a lot. Simplistic, and rather groovy. This song is just a lot of fun, and catchy as all hell. I kinda want to get up and dance halfway through it myself. And I can't dance, I'm a mosher. ;-)

Overall good job here. Good quality sound, catchy riffs, nifty samples, and a groovy beat. Isn't that what electronica/rave is all about? 8/10

Can I guess...

Did you use Fruity Loops for this project? Cause I think I recognize those guitars! ;-) Don't worry I use Fruity Loops too, so I can't hate on ya for it.

As for the song itself, I like the drums. Not so much the sound, but the actual rhythms you used. This would be a pretty heavy and cathartic song if it were real instruments used.

I like the guitar riffs as well. As complicated as they are in places, I think they are very doable in a real life band. I feel with the pounding bass you have on this song that it would be a Crossbreed/Mushroomhead/Columbine type song if done with real instruments. Just what I got out of it, maybe with a little bit of Metallica thrown in there.

I always enjoy hearing what other people come up with using Fruity Loops. If you are interested I just posted a song I created on Fruity Loops called "Impressionable." It's not up yet but should be soon. Go have a listen if ya want. I always find it interesting to compare styles with people who either use the same programs as me, or play the same instruments I do.

Overall I'll give you a 6/10. I think there is a TON you can do to improve the sound. Samples, more guitars overlapping, keys, etc. It is a nifty little tune, but it sounds like the effort is about half there. Like you worked real hard on it, but just stopped after you got the main skeleton sound out of it. I think that there are so many more layers you could add to this to improve it is all. Hope you found my criticism to be helpful in some way. Keep it real man.

I'm a drummer, so thats why that part is most fleshed out. I would love to have real instruments play this, but I doubt I'll get that chance :P

[Day02 - The road runner]

Good sound...

I like the transitions in your song a lot. That is the most overlooked spots in songs, and are definitely the hardest to write. Your transitions from one section to another are not even noticeable, which means you did very well.

I like the guitar riffs a lot. Not ultimately heavy, but they have that groove to them that makes me smash my head off my computer stand. Thanks to people like you I basically have non-stop headaches. ;-) The guitars are not in your face the whole time though, you tone them down in places. And THAT is something most metal artists simply do not get. Sometimes the lack of sound in places is even more effective than the overarching blasting loud sections.

The accompaniment on the drums is fine I think. Yea, they don't sound real at all, but big deal. I've recorded so many bands in the studio whose set is so bad sounding that I wish we had the sound you got with the electronic drums here. At least it is a good quality sound.

I want strings. Oh wait, I think I heard some in there, just not quite sure. LET THE STRINGS LOOSE!!! They like being heard, trust me I know cause they told me so. ;-) Normally metal bands overplay strings, but you could actually raise them a bit to get a little better balance.

Overall though I really like the groove of this tune. I'll give you a 9/10, simply because I do not think it is worth 10/10. There are minor things you can still tweak to possibly get it at a 10. But overall great job. I'm glad I stumbled upon this song, and hope to hear more from you in the future.

[Just Make It]

Well let me see here...

I'm writing this as I listen to the song the first time through. I always feel that is the most objective way to give feedback.

I like the intro, simple as it is. It has a nice flavor to it, rich and dark. Kinda how I like my women! ;-)

I'm definitely feeling this techno groove, with the pads and such in the beginning. I really like the beat starting around the 2:00 mark. And the "melody", if that truly is a melody, fades out nicely. Very nice touch there.

Oh and this new beat that arises kinda out of nowhere is simply groovy. Only problem is, its only a beat. Try to do a little more there. The 3:00ish change back to the "melody" is very cool. Oh and the nifty beat comes back at the 4:00ish mark. Its growing...growing...still growing...I'm still listening...I'm getting excited...And it fades out...DON'T DO THAT!!!

Fade outs at the end of songs are cheap ways out of writing a real ending. Other than that, the song is great. But please write an ending to the song. Fade outs most of the time are used, because people either can't or are to lazy to write an ending. Give me a big splash at the end with everything punching me in the face at once. That would be very fitting.

7/10 bud. Because the ending is the last thing someone hears of your song. So its rather important. But other than that nicely done. One nifty little groove you wrote here.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice...

You have a beautiful sound here. The guitars are so smooth, and almost glide on and off each other in effortless motions. I love how simple the guitars are, yet you have gotten a lot of sound out of them. I'm almost mesmerized by them, and yet they are so simple I contemplate to myself why.

The accompaniment is very good. The strings have a nice flow to them, and almost hide the guitars a little. Which is a very nice touch I gotta say. I keep listening to it over and over, and every time I fall in love with it even more. I REALLY like this a lot.

I'll give you a 10/10, which is rare for me. Especially in the audio portal. Great stuff, and I hope to hear more from you in the future.

I like it...

But I don't love it. ;-) I really love the idea and concept behind this. You captured the essence of a dream with the strings accompaniment. And the clock theme is cool.

I give ya a 7/10, because I love the concept and your ability to create based on that concept. But musically, this is EXTREMELY simplistic and rather short. You should expand on it a bit, and maybe add a second layer of strings. Maybe a layer that has a completely different timbre than the ones you used already. Also, it would be neat if you experimented with the sounds of many clocks in certain areas of the song, leading up to a crescendo. And then the soft landing at the end.

These are just ideas. Ya know, helpful criticism. But overall nicely done, I enjoyed this a lot.
